3M Motor Lead Splices (Catalog Number 5311) are inline splices designed for motor lead connections on cables with a rated operating temperature of 90 deg C and an emergency overload rating of 130 deg C. These splices are suitable for cables sized 16 AWG to 500 kcmil with a maximum operating voltage of 1 kV. They are made for use on single conductor non-shielded cables and come in a black color. The kit includes 3 adapter sleeves and has a maximum bolt length of 1/2 in (12.7 mm). The splices have a maximum motor lead size of 4 AWG and a maximum feeder lead size of 4 AWG.
