Description
About product
Trojan’s 27-AES features proprietary AES (Advanced Energy Storage) AGM technology that delivers up to 3x the cycle life of standard AGM batteries—validated at 1,200 cycles at 100% depth of discharge compared to just 400 cycles for conventional AGM. Its sealed, valve-regulated design requires virtually no maintenance, while maintaining high capacity in extreme deep cycling (up to 100% DoD), challenging temperatures, and partial charging conditions. The BCI Group 27 format makes it compatible with a wide range of industrial and recreational equipment.
Key applications
- Aerial work platforms and scissor lifts – primary power for construction and facility maintenance equipment requiring reliable deep-cycle performance and maintenance-free operation.
- Industrial floor cleaning machines – power source for commercial scrubbers and sweepers operating extended shifts with demanding cycle requirements.
- Material handling equipment – traction power for warehouse vehicles, order pickers, and facility transport equipment requiring sealed battery solutions.
- Recreational vehicles and motorhomes – house power for onboard electronics, lighting, and appliances with extended cycle life and minimal maintenance.
- Marine systems – deep-cycle power for navigation, lighting, and comfort loads on boats requiring sealed, non-spillable battery construction.
- Solar and renewable energy systems – energy storage for off-grid and backup installations requiring extended cycle life and partial state of charge tolerance.
- Golf carts and utility vehicles – motive power for electric vehicles requiring maintenance-free, sealed battery technology.
Design & construction
- Advanced AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) VRLA technology for maintenance-free operation with no watering required.
- AES (Advanced Energy Storage) proprietary technology delivers up to 3x longer cycle life than standard AGM (1,200 cycles at 100% DoD).
- Extreme temperature performance – operates reliably from -40°F to 160°F (-40°C to 71°C), far exceeding standard AGM temperature range.
- Partial state of charge (PSoC) tolerance – tested to withstand repeated partial charging cycles without performance degradation.
- Non-spillable sealed construction – classified as non-spillable and can be safely mounted horizontally or in difficult locations.
- Dual terminal (DT) configuration with automotive post and stud terminals for versatile connectivity options.
- Rugged design – engineered to absorb vibration and shock in demanding industrial environments.
- Sustainable construction – made using 80% recycled materials and is 99% recyclable.
